Jay McBee did a great job for us in marketing our home and negotiating a strong contract with the buyers. He worked with us to get a good and fair price for our home that was responsive to the market conditions. Additionally, he helped make sure that our escrow process went as smoothly as possible and was very responsive in helping us to facilitate our move to Texas.
He generated interest in our home by marketing our home on the Internet and by networking with local buyers agents which brought us showings in a market that was slowing down and where buyers were beginning to exhibit signs of nervousness and hesitancy. We put our home on the market in November and we opened escrow with the buyers in December, with us closing escrow and moving to Texas in January. The entire process went quickly and smoothly, which was a big help to us while we dealt with all the other pressures of making a big move like this.
Things that could have been potential issues during the escrow process were all addressed by Jay during the initial contract negotiations. Lot size discrepancies and other disclosures were all addressed with the buyers up-front so that any chance of the purchase going sideways later was minimized. Jay also had the buyer get approved with his lender of choice along with the buyer's own lender to make sure that we did not have any loan issues with the buyers at the last minute either. After we went into escrow, things went like clockwork and we never once had reason to question anything in the entire process.
